BMU currently has eight member countries: Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia, Moldova, Republic of Macedonia, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina
In 2022, the BMU headquarters was moved to Bucharest, with Mr. Cristian Muresan being elected president.
